Art feeds my soul. Creating art is happiness. I believe that art is everywhere...in nature, in our homes and in our hearts. Each time I start a new piece, I remind myself to “set myself free” or to “get out of my own way” and to let my natural creativity transfer onto the painting. My canvases begin with a collage of textures, layers and layers of colors, and a vision. At times, the vision evolves as planned. Other times it evolves into something unplanned and I find myself expectedly, yet unexpectedly, surprised. Painting is a journey, and while I am on this wonderful journey, I love the fact that I don’t know where it will lead me. That is the lure for me.To go somewhere freely with no expectation or hesitancy. To just simply be.
